Assembly Operative

We are recruiting for an Assembly Operative to work within the assembly team in making and assembling furniture. Cabinet making knowledge and experience would be of a great advantage as the role includes quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly.
  • Work efficiently with other members of the team to assemble products.
  • Keep a clean and tidy workspace.
  • Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
  • Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
  • Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
  • Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise.

Personal Attributes:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift light weights.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Team player.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

Salary: £9.80-£11.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Two shift rotation
  • Overtime available

Experience:

  • Joinery: 2 years (preferred)
  • Carpentry: 2 years (preferred)

CNC (woodworking) Machine Operator

We are looking to recruit an experienced CNC (woodwork) operator to work in a dedicated team. The operator must have at least 12 months experience with operating wood working CNC machines. Programming is desirable but not essential, but industry related experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To competently operate woodworking machinery to produce panels that meet specification and quality standards.
  • Ensure panel paperwork is completed correctly throughout processing.
  • To communicate effectively with other operators to ensure production targets are met.
  • To identify quality issues and defects to prevent further defective products being produced.
  • To comply with the company quality policy and standards.
  • To comply with the company health and safety policy.

Personal Attributes:

  • Experience in operation of Saws, Edgebanders or Routers.
  • Organised and planned approach to work.
  • Good eye for detail.
  • Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can work as part of a team or independently.
  • Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines.
  • Problem solving attitude.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
